OUR PLACE

This is the story of our house. We moved in April 2012 and since then I have been spending a great deal of time thinking through my plans. When we were looking for a place, the house we ended up with is not what i had in mind. i wanted a cute terrace or semi with high ornate ceilings that had a charm about it. What we ended up with is a 60's/70's blond brick house with white greek style columns that does not come with its own charm. i do love our house though, and have many plans to make it ours and to give it some (hopefully) 'wow!' it will be a slow process, but i'm sure the ride will be fun! as i do new projects, this page will be updated to show you all the progress...

2015-10-26 - RENOVATION PROGRESS (PART 1)

the renovations have started and they are looking great! our builder (rohan from superior building) is doing an amazing job and working very hard to have stage 1 finished before bugs comes along! see the first progress post of stage 1 here.

2015-10-08 - RENOVATIONS HAVE STARTED

i have been putting off a lot of smaller projects around the house, because i knew at some point we would be renovating. well, the renovations have finally started! check out the before post here!

2013-03-29 - THE EASTER PROJECT

the plan over the easter weekend is to put a picture rail up in our bedroom, paint our bedroom and hallway in 'antique white', put a shelf up in our bedroom and a shelf in the lounge room. once completed i will put some pictures up but until then, hopefully it is a productive weekend!

2013-02-22 - WELCOME TO OUR HOME

so i painted a cupboard door! when you first walk into our place, there is a coat cupboard immediately in front of you which is now a chalkboard! so much more fun that just a normal cupboard door! see the full post here with details and tips.
